The Net Giver: The Net Giver is a series of integrated companies that have embraced a new approach to developing communities that balances socially, environmentally, and fiscally responsible pursuits. These companies cover each major relevant competency from development to property management to capital management to enabling technologies to social programming through our non-profit foundation. Today, The Net Giver is working on developing roughly $60,000,000 in development with a future pipeline of over $200,000,000.
A Net Giver Community: From a human perspective, the key insight for each community is a healthy-living life-style within socially and environmentally responsible mixed uses. In addition to residential and related commercial uses, each community will feature extensive green spaces, sustainable technology, innovative management technologies, and a wide array of community programming initiatives. And due to the strong and rapidly growing senior population, at least initially, The Net Giver has made a strategic decision to focus most of our resources on the long-term-care (LTC) market.
The Net Giver Technologies (NGT): NGT is one of The Net Giver companies and is an “innovation incubator” that develops new technologies through a unique and proprietary methodology that encompasses all phases of the technology development process from conception to proof of concept to prototyping to piloting to market launch and beyond. The culture is a powerful mix of entrepreneurial-spirit and highly-innovative systems designs, built on existing robust and well-tested technologies. One of the key fundamental aspects of NGT solutions is that from a technology perspective, they all must be extremely “simple.” That is, each solution must be reduced down to the category of an “appliance” from a user perspective and from a systems management perspective. The solutions developed in NGT will be showcased in each Net Giver Community, but will also be marketed to all relevant customers.
The Workshop: Right now, NGT is looking to promote our core values through fun, engaging, and challenging workshops that start with a simple business need, some systems parameters and a collaborative team environment that rapidly produces a working prototype by the end of the workshop. Each solution will generally use Internet technologies, cloud computing, SaaS application model, PC’s and smart-phones. The workshop will start with a handful of individual technical challenges that later will be integrated together into one end-to-end system.
