If you want your son to play guitar don’t buy them a drumset.
Some people play classical music to their children while in the womb. Not me, I played Buffy Holly. When I came home from the hospital my dad bought me a baseball glove. Not me, I bought my son a guitar. As far as I can tell unless your child is a prodigy he or she will probably not be able to play the guitar until they are around 10. Most people wait. Not me, I was so impatient to play music with my first son I decided to buy him a drum set when he was 5 years old. Bad idea, now he hates all musical instruments. My second son I didn’t even try you couldn’t pull his “tar” out of hands for the first 5 years on his life. Today he’s six and I am already teaching him bar chords (at his request).
